the first, maker's mark indistinct, London 1737, with a circular bowl, engraved Present from a Friend, with baleen handle, 39cm long; the second, by Alexander Gardner, Edinburgh, c.1780, maker's mark only, with a beaded and bright-cut engraved circular bowl, baleen handle, 47cm long; the third, unmarked, the side-lipped bowl inset with a coin, baleen handle, 40cm long.
