including an American sterling silver case in the form of a suitcase; a Victorian example by Henry William Dee, London 1879, of plain rounded rectangular form, gilded interior; another Victorian case maker's mark illegible, Birmingham 1891, of rounded rectangular form, engraved with scrolling foliage and flowerheads, with a hinged spring lever action to open where the matches are stored; etc. (8) First 4.7cm high, 7.4 troy ounces gross
