of upright rectangular form with a silver pull-off cover, under-glazed with a turquoise ground decorated with blue and yellow hare's fur glaze, maker's mark MP above Sevres within a dotted circle, pre-1930. 14cm high

Paul Millet (1870-1950) was a French ceramic artist. Son of ceramic artist Felix Optat Millet (Miletus) and like him had initially apprenticed in the Manufacture royale de porcelaine de Sèvres before joining his father's small business.
