The marks are clear on each. The teapot with a 2mm split to tip of spout. The handle is firm in the sockets. The lid opens and closes well. The stand rocks slightly as one foot is slightly pushed in.

Harris, London 1904, inscribed for the Ascot Cup Aylesbury Steeple Chases 1908, with an estimate of £15,000 to £25,000. Continuing the equine theme is a large William IV silver salver by Henry Wilkinson, Sheffield 1833, embossed with panels depicting the life of a horse, estimated at £3,000-£4,000.
The highlight of the Objects of Virtue section is a fabulous micromosaic and pique work tortoiseshell circular box, the cover of which is decorated with the Doves of Pliny.
