Taisho or Showa era, the rectangular body incorporating a lower shelf and flat top with scalloped cut outs at each side, decorated on the black-lacquer ground in gold hiramaki-e, sparse e-nashiji and gold togidashi maki-e with a close-up view of a coastline with shrines overlooking a lake and small inshore pine-clad islands with mountain peaks rising from clouds in the distance, unsigned; within an inscribed wood storage box. 22.5cm high, 54.6cm long, 32cm wide
